Quinstar Technology Inc is developing and manufacturing W Band active components for the Cloud Profiling Radar a critical instrument on the EarthCARE satellite.
The components produced by Quinstar are;
1. Radar Signal Upconverter and Downconverters
2. Low Noise Amplifier at the front of the Receiver
3. Active Multiplier in the LO Subassembly
4. Output Drive Amplifier in the Transmitter

Quinstar Technology have designed and produced a high power amplifier that delivers 1.5 W Psat @ 90.0 to 95.0 GHz At 93 GHz a power of 1.74 W was measured.
The amplifier/multiplier assembly takes a +6 to +10 dBm input at 15.0-15.97 GHz and multiplies and amplifies up to W Band.
Front panel switch selection allows the assembly to take a +6 to +10 dBm input at 15.0 to 16.83 GHz and multiplies and amplifies up to 90.0 to 101.0 GHz with an output of > 19 dBm.
The assembly (see image attached) comes in a 19" rack mounting case.
Mains input is 240 VAC/50 Hz
